I hit more stores. If this Target has new stuff, all the Targets should have new stuff! This of course is not usually true, but heck - I'm looking for trends. More often than not it is just dumb luck.
It seems that the more I look, the less I find. A friend of mine will just happen to be in a store and - presto - that figure I was searching for aimlessly will just be sitting there. It's just dumb luck. |

I work at a small (non-super-store?)Wal-mart, and I see everything that comes in on a daily basis, and I study the wave names from Entertainment Earth, so generally after the toys folks work their stuff during the day, I have a pretty good idea what to prepare to buy the next night I come in to work. Of course I could just be a yag and grab what I want, but that's not the G.I. Joe way. I'm pretty sure the people who pick off pallets will probably have "duke arms" in the afterlife, I hope.
The store doesn't really get hit up for Joe stuff, we just get ripped off a lot, I can't even remember how many dangling cards w/out a figure i've seen. I bought them and I don't feel guilty about it. What’s the difference between that and waiting for them to open it and placing the items on the shelves. Its ok to buy them off the shelves but not from the pallet 10 feet away? There in the store one way or the other so what deferent’s does it make? Not like taking it from the back room. I just don't see any harm in getting stuff off of the pallet unless you make a mess or knock the boxes over or something rude like that. Anyway, didn't mean to get off the subject or start anything. I just sincerely have no idea why people frown upon getting stuff off of the pallets. Maybe it’s just the people who work at stores that have an issue? |

My fellow collector, fellow tanker and best friend, Breaker82 , have a system that has continued since the original line. If I find something new, I usually call Breaker82 and give him a heads up so he can look at stores on his end of the metro area, and then I go to a few more stores on my route to see if I "get lucky" again. Like this weekend, he found the Resolute Wave and called me to inform me of his find, so tomorrow I'll hit all the stores on my end of town while on my route. Yesterday, he also found the new DVD packs so I'll have to look for those as well.
