I was lookin at pictures of the figures in PoC, and I want to know:
Is PoC in the same universe as RoC, RAH, or it's own?

I believe initially PoC was suppose to be part off the RoC continuity but Hasbro decided to go in a different direction with it. I personally consider PoC its own thing and basically a filler joe line with no connection to any existing joe continuity.
In short, its own universe, but without a cartoon,a movie or a comicbook to assist it,it wont be much of a continuity/universe. Last edited by The Conflict; 06-20-2010 at 08:54 PM.. |

i looked at it as an upgrade to some of the figures we did not see in the 25th line as well as some updates on figs we have,so more or less its an upgrade line imo

I use my Resolute 5 pack black CC, and black and red BAT with my 25th CG's. They all look great together, IMO. MY universe is basically that, MY universe. I pick and choose which versions I like best. I was going to get a HoH Commando SE as my SE, as I prefer the 82 version, but once I saw RoC CS SE I knew I had found my modern version. They all live side by side on my shelf and in my mind. If it doesn't bother you too much, picking and choosing from different lines is a good way to make YOUR individual Joe verse.

it was obviously always meant to sort of spill from ROC... I mean the early
test-shots have the ROC logos etc. I personally see it as Hasbro's way of trying to make something for everybody. ME updates... ROC flavors... new ideas... 80's inspired throw backs. maybe CS FF fits in with your ROC suits. maybe Low-Light and Matt Tracker can get some dinner. etc.

Pretty much what I've gathered. However, that's not to say that the figures are doomed to be useless. Just like with Resolute, and some of the RoC figures, the PoC figures just give you more options for your favorite characters.

I agree with you all but some of you seem to be only talking about the design and look of the PoC line,I believe the op was simply asking what continuity it was.

Yeah its just a short lived filler line till Renegades re-designs the current POC look. Glad they booked it away from ROC but well have to wait and see what Renegdaes does to it then of course what ROC 2.0 brings back from the ROC fodder...I suspect tons of repaints in blue and green next time insead of black and light gi joe word digital camo lol..
Not really any continuity to it, its the same core figures in different looks/styles/clothes..with more accessories and better packaging. |
