So Hasbro originally only planned 25 anniversary joes. So, I'm curious what they were originally planning once the 25 figures were produced. Were they going to create new characters based on the Devil's Due comics with 25th style sculpts? Or were they going to continue with the smaller O-ring figures? What do you think? Any guesses?

I suspect that they only posted the 25 limit as a "plan B" should the series go belly up. That way they were only verbally obligated to produce that many. No doubt Hasbro predicted the success and already had a lot of these figures in the works.
Given the success, however, I reckon they're just skipping to the part where they reroute all direct deposit accounts you [the consumer] might have set-up into their giant Scrooge McDuck style vault where electronic transfers magically transforms into physical money. |

I read in one of the Q&A's, Hasbro said the original plan was for a Joe pack and a Cobra pack, but once the first fig's were in hand, they liked them so much they decided to do some single cards, hence the reused molds of the 5-packs in wave 1, cuz they were in a rush to get the singles out.

And personally the reuse of molds doesn't bother me, it's a pretty standard thing throughout the history of the Joes.
I'm curious of who was originally planned though. Because if Flint didn't make the cut I would have been very unhappy |

Yeah the mold reuse has been well thought out, they so far have only used molds that make sense to make other figures

I understand that getting the mileage out of any figure is good business, but again, at times it comes across as slightly insulting- like fans won't know the difference or something. |
