I just wanted to share the fact that the modern era figures do not stand up well with the ARAH classic figures when actually played with.
My son has several 25th joes and they lose there tightness very easy. They just do not seem to stand up to the way they used to be made and seem flimsy and floppy as hell with very little play time. I think they are o.k. for collectors but for kids they simply suck! |

I haven't broken any ME thumbs or crotches recently.
Just sayin... |

I couldn't agree more. Thumbs still in tact, crotches unbroken, and I don't recall any of my original Joes remaining all that tight. Also, the ME Joes can carry around those handguns and knives which were so easily lost with the old school Joes.

They sure don't make them like they used to. The ME sculpts are great!

Wasn't there a thread just like a week ago about a collector snapping the thump off the 82 figure he just bought by simply putting a gun in his hand? He wasn't even playing hard with it and it broke.

"back in the day" They do become brittle after 30 years. I would assume.

He doesn't like those. He is a kid that likes G.I. Joe, much like most of the fanboys on here. He actually plays with his toys and I buy him the new figures because I don't collect them. They look great but I am not into them. Maybe my 10 year old should put them on his shelf and stare at them?
