This is my first thread so here goes and I'm not sure this has been discussed before. In other words, be kind.
Does anyone think that Hasbro would come out with accessory packs like the 80's line did? Would hasbro even consider it? If so, what accessorries would you like to see in them? I think it'd be awesome for Army Buildiers and would even increase nostalgia amongst us guys who rushed to the store to get them to fill out the Joe's and Cobra's arsenals when we were younger. Also, it would give us a chance to fill out the lack of accessories in the DVD and select comic packs (Falcon for example with no sidearm). I'm just curious to see if any other tankers think we have a chance at seeing the accessory packs in the near future.

I'd like to see them make accessory packs. It would seem like they are already planning it due to those previously stated figures lack of accessories.
I'd also like to see some packeged sets of those little playsets they had, like the Mountain Howitzer and Cobra Bunker. They help make your scenes look more full and just plain cooler. |

I've asked Hasbro reps at the last 4 conventions about this and all i ever get is " thats something we will look into " response. I think thise would be a big hit and easy money for them. There are some really great weapons that they make for 1 specific fig and we never see them again. Why not since they have the mold already just mass produce them ( it cant cost much per weapon ) and sell them on the site in groups of 10,20,30 ect. It wont cost them nothing in packaging. I'm really surprised this hasnt been done already.

I believe I read that the 80's versions of these weren't hot sellers and that's why we hadn't seen them. Me personally? I wouldn't care much for them.

I hope they pack that gun (whose name escapes me) that was shown with the BATs in the firefly two pack comic.

I second and third that motion. I love Joe but they need people to save....OR they need scenes of some sort.
25th weapons too. I would pick up a few.

It would be nice to get some gear for the Tele-Vipers that came with the Trouble Bubble (maybe eventually they will come carded). Extra weapons lined up for use, like a garrison, are great for dioramas. I'd buy some accessory packs.

I agree with u Johnny, they do need some background environments. They could do like they do with the vehicles with those little playsets I was talking about. Put them in a nice size box with a cool background scene(I save the ones from the vehicles).
On another hand, I think a wave of spring loaded weapon packs would be a big hit too. Although then it would not give Hasbro a reason to make more repaint figures with them. What about vehicle accessory packs? The Tele-Pod did not have it's mine for example. |
