Yeah, I get the feeling that most online retailers are going to have triple of the desert sets to every Arctic set.
The Arctic set stands out and works, the desert set just looks silly. |

I guess I am the only one that thinks the Desert set looks fantastic. I love the paint scheme. The BBQ Viper is a little silly, but the Air Trooper head on the Flash body is awesome. Bludd is super awesome. Desert Fred is super awesome. The Trooper looks great, too, and I like the accessories.
The Arctic set looks good. Way excited about the multiple Serpents and Scrap Iron. The Vipers look terrible to me. Short sleeves on one? A heavy machine gun in the Arctic, and Copperhead's pants? And I just do not care for that color blue. I will call this the Cobra-kfast at Tiffany's set. Getting them both, though, and super excited. |

Arctic set is nice too, but I hate the fact that they include 2 serpents that are identical to the sealed serpents...we could have added those serpents to the group ourselves. |

that's actually a huge part of the appeal to me. plus it 'makes sense', and i'm glad my Snow Serpent brigade won't be as motley and mis-matched as my Coobra Troopers are.

I think that the Arctic set turned out near perfectly. I would have preferred a different Viper other than the gunner one as the short sleeves made no sense, but that is minor to me. The Desert set is ok, I mainly wanted the Major Bludd though. The rest could have been a lot better and it seemed like not much thought was put into the figure choices. Like someone else stated earlier, a Desert Scorpion should have been part of the set. I am sure that Hasbro could have kitbashed a passable one out of existing parts somehow.

Hey no fate, are you planning on keeping the entire set, or sell/trade some of the figures away?
