having opened both, the build quality is the worst i've seen of any of the vehicles. the stickers are rubbish.
HOWEVER, they are still pricelss in my opinion for a collector. maybe a bit of a disappointment for kids who have to constantly put falling peices back on, etc. already a source of annoyance for me as a parent having to coninually put peices back on.

well i can get you a 1984 rattler for $160 and you can compare them. i will note that both 1984 and 2008 rattlers are very much similar in quality as for the landing gear ,canopy and gun turrets.
you should be more dissappointed in that the paint jobs are different plus what do you expect for under $30 |

the way the old joe vehicles were designed pieces do fall off "mainly missiles" nothing new about that, that is why old joe vehicles are more valuable complete, instead of with certain peices that tended to fall off missing

missles and bombs aside, the actual body parts are falling off my sons. the conquest sheds parts worse than the rattler but im going to have to glue them both together shortly. and i'm not alking about the removeable panels, those i understand. i posted some experiences in the conquest picturs post...

you should be more dissappointed in that the paint jobs are different plus what do you expect for under $30 I think there are 2 expectations for these planes. 1. People who want a couple more to increase their fleet, in which case are happy because it's pretty close to the original. 2. People hoping for an upgraded version... which this isn't. Compared to some of the upgrades that the figures received, the planes didn't receive quite as much as an upgrade. I'm in the first category and I'm happy. |

I picked up a rattler this morning and like afew other i have yet to open it due to space constraints. Over all I dont mind having another wild weasel as this means i can use my single one for a custom again. I passed on the conquest because i actualyl never liked that jet as a kid and still dont like it to this day. Something about it just never sat right with me plus I couldnt stand the fact that slipstream is just ww/snowjob/bbqs body and arms with aces legs and tripwires head. Maybe if ol sliuppy had a removeable helm i might picked up the conquest but since he didnt I passed. Besides Im more of a cobra fan than joe as cobra tended to have the better looking vehicles. HAIL COBRA!!!!
