Air Tight flaw or what

Here is a picture of the air tight I am keeping MOC for my collection. It has what I describe as an extra plastic formation. It is not an air bubble due to bad painting. Sorry for the picture but I tried the best I could with the camera I am using. I need a new one.

Yes. The most commonly accepted word is "artifact" or "artifacting" left over from the molding process. Since I don't cast things I couldn't say what causes it, other than the obvious answers like not cleaning the mold out properly after use or not getting all the air bubbles out. It's a shame when that happens on a painted piece, too! It if were on a non-painted piece it wouldn't be too difficult to cut and shape it down with an exacto knife.

Mmm, yeah. Could just be a paint blob and nothing to do with the plastic. Hard to tell.

Defintely doesn't look like a paint blob in person. I know my picture doesn't do it justice. When I do some trades in person I will let those people look at it and tell me what they think.
