Threads like this irritate me.
Wave 9 hit some level of saturation a whopping TWO MONTHS ago, and some markets haven't even gotten to saturation point on this assortment, and people are calling them pegwarmers. Good lord, Hasbro finally starts making enough to keep up with demand, but now people are freaking out over pegwarmers OF THE LATEST WAVE. Look at Star Wars: 15 years strong, but it is not uncommon at all to see figures from 1-3 waves back sit on shelves with new product, or see new waves sit for a few weeks before selling. Now, if you see them there 6 months from now, or have 2-3 pegs of nothing but one figure, THAT is a pegwarmer. Seeing leftovers from the newest wave? Not so much. A few months ago I was annoyed that every time I walked into a Target or TRU I saw empty pegs, and that annoyed me. Now I walk into stores and see pegs with figures on them, just figures I got a few weeks ago so now I want new ones. I'm just hard to please. Bring on Wave 10! |

I see wave 7 everywhere, as well as alot of wave 8 revisions at WM.
I am lucky to have wave 9 complete already (found 2 cases), as the BAT, SSepent & BBQ are sparse around here. |

That is an internet only case. Too bad too because that is what everyone wants. The only thing that really upsets me about finding w9 is the bats and snow serps are always missing and there are a ton of Wild Bill. He was still easy to find from w7.

I hit up Target and Walmart here in Casselberry. TRU isnt far but I stopped buying Joes there about a year ago when they remodeled and the action figures were stuffed into the corner to make way for Anime.
...NOW I LOVE ANIME (see sig) but DAMN! So Walmart: 1 HISS Tank, 1 Armadilla vs Chariot (which I bought), 3 of each DVD Battle Pack. Peg warmers: Cobra Commander, Baroness, Road Block and Wild Force Python Patrol and Wild Bill. A couple Snake Eyes and Spirits. Target: 3 each DVD Battle Park. No vehicles, less then a dozen figures. Mostly Cobra Commander. ...the hell? I must thank you members for hooking me up with your own peg warmers that are just NOT HERE in Casselberry. |

Vipers warm pegs because they come 2x per case of wave 7 and 1x in wave 8 cases. They have put out a lot of product and 3x more vipers then anything else recently.I remember when we were getting 2x SE w/timber in cases of wave 1 & 2.They clogged pegs.I literaly saw entire pegs full with 8-10 SE figures.
Sorry I realize this is slightly off topic |
