I am getting ready to set up my home office and was thinking a G.I.Joe chess set would be cool. I know I will use Cobra Commander and Duke for the Kings. Baroness and either Lady Jaye or Scarlett for the Queens. I'm thinking either Cobra Viper or Cobra trooper for the pawns, and Steel Brigade for Joe's pawns. I will use Iron Grenadiers for the Rook for Cobra. I'm thinking using Roadblock and Heavy duty for Joe's Rook's. I thinks the Crimson twins for the Cobra Bishop's but I don't know what to use for the Joe's Bishop. I also don't know who to use for the Knight on either side. The board will be Red and Blue of course. Any suggestions to finish it out would be appreciated. Thanks

Why not change out Gen. hawk for your Joe king, Then use Duke and flint as your bishops.

that could work on both counts. Also only figures I can buy in store or coming soon. I'm trying not to get into collecting vintage or hard to find. As you know it is expensive enough to buy just what is coming out. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Or Flint and Beachhead... Or Slaughter a your bishops.
You'll need Destro and Bludd in there, I suggest them to replace your IG rooks. Edit: And to remove all the sentence structure: Joe: King -- Duke or Hawk Queen -- Scarlett [more appropriate for Duke] or Lady Jaye Bishops -- Flint, Beachhead, Slaughter, Duke Knights -- Snake-eyes and I'd use reformed Storm Shadow Rooks -- Roadblock, Heavy Duty Pawns -- Steel Brigade Cobra: King -- Cobra Commander Queen -- Baroness Bishops -- Tomax and Xamot Knights -- Firefly, Zartan Rooks -- Destro, Bludd Pawns -- Vipers Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 11-26-2011 at 11:24 PM.. |
