How do you know when it's appropriate to purchase the product? Does the TRU have a shelf time requirement before a "backroom" guy gets to snag it up?

In that case, I got a Comic 2-pack with Shippy and Copperhead that's missing the Doc sticker/card. |

Huh? It's a perk of the job. If you want to get figures right when they go on the pegs, get a stocking job too. It's not like I took all the Bludds. There were still some on the pegs. And it's most certainly not like I went straight to ebay and sold them. I still have them. I'm a collector, not a scalper. If my store had got in anymore Wave 8 cases with Bludds, I wouldn't buy them again just to buy them before someone else. I would have stocked them. I don't horde. Oh, and I wish I was a "backroom" guy. I'd be getting more hours, that's for sure.

It's also one of the terms of agreement that when they are given to my company that they are distributed to the public fairly. That's all.

I mean, some collectors work jobs that don't have as much disposable income, so they need to be more careful with spending... yet others make WAY too much and can buy every silly figure that comes out, and have army-builders, etc. How each person spends his or her own money is their own priority, but if someone works a retail job (I did a long time ago, and never will again, and there aren't THAT many perks that come with dealing with ignorant customers as a retail employee... You know how most of us bitch about ignorant TRU, Wal-Mart and Target employees? Well I hate to tell you, the customers are usually the stupid ones... It's all relative to point-of-view.) From what I used to make at retail, I know that stores don't pay what other jobs do, so I let it slide when store workers snag stuff before us. The only things store employees could do that would piss me off is intentionally damaging collector items or selling them in a second market... THAT'S not fair. Otherwise, hey, have at it, so long as you're getting the figures for yourself. What sucks, is sitting there putting stock out of something YOU want, and some 40 year old grown man snagging it from you, knowing there's a 50 percent chance they're going to scalp it, or some snot-nosed kid who is guaranteed to destroy it in 10 minutes, or lose most of the parts within hours. |

I'm a definitely not a scalper. I'd rather trade it to a fellow collector for something I need or want.

Hehe. Indeed. I work off-hours, so i don't have to work around customers except when I stay past 10am. There isn't many perks to this job except getting first dibs on stuff. Like I said before, if I stock something I've already bought for myself, I leave it on the shelves or pegs. I already have mine, so why buy more? I'm not made of money bags. lol
