What is it with the 25th Anniversary GI Joe hands and wrists? I am a Star Wars collector who recently began collecting GI Joe when I saw the 25th line at Toys R Us. All of my modern SA Star Wars figures can hold their weapons with authority, and all have strong rugged wrists. My 25th Shipwreck's hand snapped of the first time I tried to swivel it. My MASS Device Cobra Trooper has such bizzare tucked in fingers that he can't hold his weapon, or any other, IN EITHER HAND! Most of my other 25th figures hold there weapons in such a limp wristed fashion that I don't see how they could possibly be considered soldiers of any kind. As it stands with the current 25th figues I own, Destro would be the only one left standing in a battle as all of the other figures would be killed while repeatedly dropping and picking up their weapons. If Hasbro makes both lines of figures, what in the hell are they doing with these GI Joe hands?

they are more concerned with articulation than will wielding weapons apparently.

LOL! Love that comment. You're right though, the hands kinda suck. For the Cobra Trooper, the ones with black gloved hands hold weapons better than the flesh tone ones. The flesh tone paint makes their hands too thick to hold anything properly I guess. I do find that the Star Wars figures hold their weapons much better too.

more like the should follow closer to the standard SA Clonetrooper model for articulation. it's possibly the best 3-3/4" figure ever made from an articulation standpoint.

i have mucho nostalgic love for vintage ARAH (especially the one in your avatar), there's so much that is improved on the 25th guys: the wrist and ankle articulation alone makes them 100x better IMHO. plus the sculpting (and in general) the proportions are just night and day better. The picture of the vintage and modern 86 Hawks that Destro had up in his review a month or 2 back really drove that home.
really, the only thing that is holding back the fundamental design is the lack of a bicep swivel (that the Clone Trooper has) that'd take 'em right over the top. also, i think this topic should probably get kicked over to the Modern-Era Toys forum :p
