I have seen kids go after the figures and wondering how they were possibly interested in this stuff. Maybe they were into Sigma 6 and recognized the characters? It's the only reason I could think of, but if I've learned anything over the years, sometimes people get hooked on their hobbies in the most unusual ways.

That's the point LL my friend. I shouldn't feel slighted when someone beats me to something like this in any situation. That's where I see the ugliness of Collecting in me, that I shouldn't feel that way even if he HAD something I needed, never mind that he didn't, just by chance that he did. It made me realize I needed to reevaluate my stance on the hobby as a positive thing, & not feel slighted or negative towards another no matter what he had in his hands. It was kind of a turning point to see my own greed in front of me when there was no reason to feel that way. And keep in mind I do not troop build & only have one of most figures. And I hope my experience can help others maybe better themselves in a similar situation where they feel they might have lost out.
Viper48 & Sgt. Bludhound.. thanks. I get where you are coming from, Steel Brigade. I've felt that way before and now all I do is just smile cause that's all we can do. I mean someone beat us to the loot, nothing else to do but continue with the hunt!

I get you... I think at one point or another, all of us, as collectors, have had those feelings of: "Damn, if I was just here two minutes ago!"
I think the only time I've ever had contempt for another collector in the aisle was if I knew him and he was a total douche-bag. That has absolutely happened... and in those cases, I generally stick with those feelings. Quote:

Thanks guys. It's great to hear all your thoughts on this... I figured we could all relate to one moment or the other, or all 3... I think we may have all been there at least once, maybe just not all in a couple hours like I was today. lol.
