I know this has been asked before, though I don't think it's possible because no one has access to the right equipment. There IS chrome paint, but I don' think it would create quite the same effect. I'm curious what other people have to say, though.

I already asked the guy on eBay but he won't do it which I think is the same place that did that snake armor as they come up on eBay. The chrome I want is specific and i want to match the quality of another item.

chrometechusa.com is your best choice. They did some work for me a while back on a 1965 Thunderbird. which the chrome was in need of a refit, due to age. The chrome came out beautifully. they do great work.

I think you want Vacuum Metalizing. Pretty sure that's the process used on Hasbro's vehicles back then.

True, but for durability you can't beat chrome plating. Also, I'm sure it's easier to find a chrome plater due to people wanting things chromed for auto and motorcycles rather than someone that does vacuum metalizing.

Be that as it may:
Mueller Corp | Services I don't think you can properly chrome non-metal parts, being that it's electrolysis-dependent. Last edited by Konigstiger; 11-07-2011 at 10:48 AM.. |
