RAH for me. The new ones are nicer looking and have better articulation, but they seem like they'd break if you tried to play with them. Their durability is questionable thanks to the cheap plastic.

Both series are better than the other in different areas. Sculpting is far superior in the 25th line. Durability is a grey area, the RAH figures could have snapped thumbs and crotches, and the elbow/knee joints were prone to looseness(all of the issues listed have happened to my RAH figures, though thankfully not most), and of course, o-rings drying up(though thankfully this has not happened to my figures yet).
Its a grey area because the 25th figures utilize PVC for the hands, and while this prevents thumb breaking, you have the issue of stuck joints, which can lead to severed wrists. Thankfully, I have not had this happened in a long time, and the newer figures seem less prone to it.
Articulation for the 25th is better, but range of movement, oft confused for articulation, is inferior to RAH, until wave 5 and onward. Hasbro started making joes that had better range of motion than their RAH counterparts late last year. A great example would be the Crimson Guard figures, or wave 7 Snake Eyes. Hasbro knows that we did not like hindered range of movement, and I think from here on out we can expect figures with full range of movement.
Vehicle compatibility is better for RAH hands down, though I found that the "new sculpt" figures from 2004-06 are actually the best fits. I say starting from 2004 since some of the 2002-03 figures were incompatible with vehicles.
As a whole, the RAH line is better than the 25th. As per figures, the 25th are better but starting with wave 5 and up. RAH was similar, in that the first figures had no swivel arm battle grip, and we know how big of an impact that made.

RAH, hands down. Half of the 25th figures are just a bunch of repaints anyway.

I liked the playability of the RAH line but I'm just foaming at the mouth over the 25th. As an adult, I like playing with the 25th more.

25th. It took these designs to get me back into Joes after a loooong absence of nearly 20 years.

The thing to me is how close to the original the 25th look. I mean, put a vintage and it's 25th counterpart side by side and it's VERY close.
Unlike Star Wars where the difference is SO apart. You could put a 25th Snow Serpent on a vintage card and go back in time and it would take several glances to notice the difference.
It looks as if there is minor tweaks at the same time MAJOR improvements. That is how superior Joes were back in the day.
