Did they account for this factor when they decided how many of each they were going to produce? Maybe they could be making other more wanted joe items instead of shelve warming 3 packs. hasbro production has thrown us through a loop before, with people not being able to get single packs |

It was in the unmaskings issue that he shared that tidbit with Destro. He was a used car salesman before his brother and Snake-eyes family were killed in a car crash... then he started to hate the goverment and the system and blah blah... and that's when Cobra started out as a pyramid scheme and blah blah... and eventually he found a whole town of people who hated the gov't blah blah... then Cobra really grew.

the problem is clear, and it is your fault. they aren't called 5 packs. sure, she could count the figures and maybe assume that is what you mean, but it is your responsibility to be specific with her about what you are looking for. obviously she doesn't have a tremendous amount of awareness about the product, so if you want something, you have to be specific. it is always a safe practice to conduct any inquiries with the assumption that you, the avid collector and Joe enthusiast, know more about the product than just some random person working in the store.

This is just silly. You say that they are not called 5 packs. Ok fine, and then you say that collectors know much more than the staff, ok that's true too. So what should I do? Start directly with the longwinded hard to follow name of the product? I know for a fact that starting with the general item type/name is a good way to go while she walks to the section, then explain in further detail once she's there or you'll have to repeat everything. For the record, I did explain the product properly, and gave the proper names of the products once she was at the action figure section. For the sake of this post, I skipped a few lines to get to the point. Why are some of you guys taking this sooooo seriously?
Kaisugi, you are a 1000% correct. I agree that asking in this method produces the best results. If you get too specific right off the bat, you throw most people for a loop. Also, why drive and spend $ for gas when you can politely ask the customer service rep to check for you. Its called using your brain. Also, I enjoyed your thread here, because it has happened to me as well...probably most of us for that matter. I once called Target asking for GI JOES, and the toy mangaer stated that all GI JOE items went on clearance after Christmas??? At TRU, most emplyees should know their toy lines...its all that they sell. |

these are minimum wage employees who work retail, they aren't toy professionals. what should they do, hold weekly corporate wide training calls to teach employees about every new toy being released? how do you get every employee to know everything about every toy product on the market? that is your position, so I assume you have an answer for that. |
