speaking of torso screws...where do you guys get your leg screws for ARAH figures. I began in April repairing my old figures after seeing the new 25th and getting hyped up. Call me an optimist, but I'm hoping the film will be good, if not watchable. I thought Transformers was different but good.
Anyway, are the leg screws the same size as the torso screws? I tried to put a torso in a leg and it didn't seem to fit. I've gone to various hobby shops and home depot and can't locate either size. I saw some of the Joe sites carry the torsos, but not the leg ones. Any help to a recently reinstated collector/fan would be much appreciated. I love the community you guys have built up here and look forward to becoming more active in the future. |

No screws. I've cracked dozens of torsos with no ill effects, and not one casualty. It's really not that difficult. They are great the way they are. It should require a bit of work to make a custom. If it's too much work to split the torsos, just wait and Hasbro will kit bash a new figure for you soon.

I voted that I'm good with the gule... Mostly cause I don't see the screws returning.
You'd have to retool the upper torsos to support a screw post. Modify the backpack holes to accept the screw. Modify the backpacks. Go back and release all the old figures to satisfy the fans that'll complain that now there's two types of figures in the line. Buy more screws... Nope, best to leave things as is. And O-rings are a dead horse. |

I only do strait-on repaints, at the most, head/accessory swaps, so the torso thing doesn't bug me as much. But I see how much more versatility you have if you break the figure apart. I just can't bring myself to do it, though
I've gotta vote no on changing their construction...prices on 'em are high enough already. |

Oh how I long for a back screw.
Sure the arms, head and legs are easier to customize, but they've taken away one of the easiest features we always had to customize, the torso. Seriously, I'm tired of having to try new techniques on cracking torsos. Using a screwdriver is much easier than putting the figure in a sock and squeezing it with pliers or custting along the edge of it then squeezing a screwdriver into the torso and prying it apart or even just hitting it with a hammer. Looking at the inside of it, it appears that there is enough room to use a back screw in there without messing up any of the other mechanics. |

Sure would make customizing easier...
I wonder if there is a happy medium? |

That's a tiny screw to hold the upper torso together to make it fit in the existing backpack hole, 00 at best. Hmm, I don't think one of those could take the job alone. And you're screwed, [heh] if that thing ever strips in the cheap plastic of today.
