has anyone ever been to these factorys? they have stuff laying around for months sometimes even years. they ususally over produce items to calculate in defects, human error..etc.
Its very possible they had a batch of these figures just chillin. Too bad they dont make them readily available to us. I wish i could pick one up at the $9 price tag |

yes, I am certain the Hasbro customer service reps know all about this, they are brought into all the production and manufacturing meetings.

People would have every right to be super-upset because many paid through the nose on the secondary market for one. I remember when they sold for an average of $450.00 and you only saw 1 or 2 at a time on ebay for a month period. It is true that as of yesterday, there were like 8 or 9 gold PDD's on ebay, when up until a couple of days ago there were almost none for months now. strange?.....yes. |

No, you don't. He isn't worried about his "audience" because he is speaking from the heart, or truthfully/innocently without malice.

It seems some people can't afford to sit on a $250-400 figure during these times. I know if I had one, I'd sell it in a heartbeat for that price range. It's a crap figure that can net me some funds to pick up ahelluva lot more current Joes I would really want. or I could feed my family for a couple of weeks |

Well, not everyone has the same priorities. I have to say I love sitting back and watching the carnage as the conspiracy theories and over-active imaginations fly. It really brightens my morning.

Here is my email:
"Dear Hasbro Representative, It has been brought to my attention that there are 2007 Comic Con SDCC Gold Destros going around with the Date Stamp of "81921" on the backside. I have a few questions: 1) Does 81921 mean this product was produced in 2008? 2) Do you guys know anything about this release? We the people, fans of G.I. Joe, are very interested in finding out more. Please tell us all you can. Along with my email are couple pictures that show the Date Stamp. I thank you in advance for your time. Thank you, Ed" |
