If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I'm going to call bullshit on this one. Not on you G, but on your source.

We know the first number is the year and I heard some of the other numbers refer to the month, but I am not sure.
Does anyone know what the other numbers mean for sure? By the way Mr. G I am a true believer now before I was like 90% you were right 10% you were wrong, but now I'm 100% on your side. |

If i remember correctly....8 first signifies the year (obviously 2008). the second 3-digits signify the actual calender day (in this case 192 would be July 10th...which is the 192 day of this year) and the last isusually a 1 or 2 signifying the shift (1st or 2nd) it was made on at the facility.

according to this date stamp, it was packaged on July 10th. which means it's taken a month since it's been packaged to be shipped from China to Hasbro, given to some guy that works there, who then sold it to the guy with the picture. I guess that's not an impossible timeline. But why would Hasbro spend the $$$ to remake this particular item that hasn't been produced in over a year....only to give it to some random collector?
Have your source ask his Hasbro hookup for an explanation. |

Long time lurker, first time poster!
This topic is just too interesting... Question: If they wanted to produce "fake" ones they would have used the same time stamp no? Pretty stupid if they didn't If anything this might be a new authentic release that hasn't yet been announced perhaps? |

maybe either the number system is false (from what we have gathered since wave 1) or HASBRO just made Gold PDD's, which means I am out of this line for good.
Why bother to get rare items when they can just make more and make them worthless? The whole point of having something of value, is to trade or sell it. It's part of the hobby of collectibles. If things are never allowed to generate value, there is no point. |
