Some people don't see them on the pegs because they don't ever get the chance to make it there.Your Walmart could have a case of the early morning pallet pickers. There are people that don't post on the Tank that know what they are doing ,just an FYI

I am really getting sick and tired of Walmart and Target. I see tons and tons of other toy lines with massive amounts of product in the toy aisles of these stores, and the stuff never sells. Meanwhile, G.I.Joe get two or three pegs that are stocked with 9 or 10 Wild Bills that sit there for three months. I simply don't understand why these stores order massive quantities of toys that don't sell, while ordering only a handfull of Joe toys that sell out in 2 hours. I am so sick of walking down the toy aisles and seeing half an aisle of Transformer animated toys and two pegs of Wild Bills. Walmart and Target need to start using the brains that God gave them and start ordering the toys that people actually want to buy. These stores wonder why I walk into their stores, and then walk out empty handed three minutes later. It's because you don't stock what I want to buy!!!

For example, my store just got in 5 cases of wave 9 in the last two weeks. Its not a major profit store either, but as long as they don't sit on the pegs and the merchandise supervisor does their job they should come in. I'll throw a few examples your way. on July 30 Mason City IA had 40 joes instock, on August 3rd, 83. on July 30th Ft Dodge IA had 16 on August 3rd, 47 on hand. Mankato MN, July 30th 61. August 3rd, 61 and are up to 93 as of yesterday. These stores do a steady sale of figures, so they keep coming in. Have any of you bought a Wii in the last year? Did you ever hear of "attachment rate"? Well, the stores that sold the most attachments with their Wii's (extra controllers, memory cards, etc.) were the stores that got the most Wii's when it came to being replenished. My stores attachment rate sucked, so we got 6 a month... a store not 15 miles away (much smaller but they know how to sell) got 18 a week!!!! Now looking at the joe line, if a figure is sitting on the shelf... warming the pegs if you will, the MS (merchandise supervisor) or manager can just cancel an order (the automatic replenishment ordering system) until they feel these things will actually move. An example here is store 983 in Blue Earth MN, small store and has only had three joes for well over 6 weeks. They won't order more till they are all gone, a lot of stores are operating like this, they simply don't want to sit on dead toys.

Haha. Yeah, the Vacaville Wal-Mart, and Target suck. The Fairfield Wal-Mart has stuff sometimes. And the Target there blows too. -Kevin |

Years ago Toys R Us did force many retailers to close their toy departments. The days of Sears, JC Penney, Motgomery Wards (RIP) having huge toy departments is but a memory. In the 80's TRU was the Walmart of the toy industry. Times change and not only has Walmart given TRU a run for their money...but they've knocked everybody else out around me. I could live with Walmart if it wasn't white trash central. I mean have you seen the people who shop there? It's like the Creature Cantina from Star Wars.

I have never found any single carded figures at the Fairfield Walmart or Target. I went to the super Walmart in Dixon this morning and all they have is wave 7.

There is another staff sergeant in the shop where I work on Travis AirForce base who is about my age (I'm 34) who recently got interested in the new Joe's after I showed him some at the BX. The other day he told me he was at our local Walmart and Target looking for Joe's and he asked me, "What's up with Wild Bill?" It's the only figure he has been able to find in ages.

Like other's have said, it's dependant on the individual store. The original post here explained Target in my area almost perfectly up till a month ago or so. however a Wal-Mart right next door to one of those Targets has 4 full pegs of figures (No wave 9 though) but there are 23 Vipers plus many other figures
