The relatively small Sky Hawk & Moccasin are quite a bit removed from the whopping Skystriker when it comes to 'rebuilding from scratch'.
Personally I can take or leave the jet. I'd sooner have a couple of smaller vehicles than one biggun - I'd want a Dragonfly before an XP-14F anyway.

Personally, I think part of the appeal of the Sky Striker is the fact you can stuff a driver and rear in it.
Not to say that a F18 or something newer is not cooler (and yes, I know there is a 2 seater F18 also) but from a "play factor" for a toy, I think this adds to it in my opinion. Persoanlly, I'd really like to see an update on the Dragonfly, maybe a "Joe style" AH-64 Apache? (and yes, I know BBI makes one too..........) JMHO, YMMV -

That is not a problem. One reason Star Wars big vehicles hit clearance is because Hasbro pumps them out en mass. |

Something like the Skystriker (assuming the mold was even available, which I know it is not because of Funskool's neglect) would be a $50+ store exclusive if it ever saw release.

And when ALL the smaller vehicles are played out, we better see the bigger stuff like the Flagg, Terror Drome, Defiant, etc.

There is hope yet for some vehicles where the molds have been lost then. If this movie is successful, then Hasbro (and retailers) should be more willing to take a chance on new mold vehicles.

Having never owned a Skystriker, I can't see the need for one. Yes, I know that they were in the original cartoon. Hell, it's practically the first thing you see in the M.A.S.S. Device. However, with Resolute coming up and Hasbro already saying there's an updated Skystriker in it...it doesn't look good for the classic version.
On the plus side, it's great that Hasbro are making new "old" vehicles, like the Sky Hawk and Moccasin. Gives me hope for things like the Thunder Machine and Dragonfly, both which aren't compatible yet.

I'm hopping that Hasbro remakes the Skystriker, Night Raven, Snow Cat, Dragonfly, STUN, Tomahawk and a couple of the other cool looking vehicles before they call it quits.
