I am trying to decide how to thin down my collection and was wanting to get some feedback from some fellow Joe collectors. When you say you only collect ARAH series, do you include Valor v Venom and GI Joe vs Cobra figures or not? I am trying to decide if I should only collect figures with the original sculpt made in the 80s or not. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks, |

For as much as I love GI Joe I could never get into the CvC or VvV lines. They didn't look right with the RAH line and they weren't dynamic enough to make me want to start collecting anew like the 25th figs. Dump 'em! I hope you are at least able to get the money back you invested

The sculpting would be the difference factor.
If you collect G.I. Joe, then you get all the sclupts. I stopped collecting in 91 or so, and so far have only been getting vintage characters (that I didn't have) from that time and earlier, the ARAH guys. I probably won't go into any of the VvV or Spytroops or Vs lines just because that was not "my time" as a Joe fan. There's a couple I want to pick up, but that's it.

I like a lot of JvC, VvV, Spy Troops and DTC But I consider them all "New Sculpt"
So you have: ARAH RAH (These were the Real American Hero Collection in 2000-2003 or so) "New Sculpt" (Covers JvC, ST, VvV & DTC in that order) 25th/modern era |

I'd say no. The ARAH era was 1982-1994.

Agreed, there's a reason why these lines received new subtitles.

I only liked the Medi - Viper and considered the rest alternate universe or rather pretended it didn't really happen!

For VvV, I am only interested in vehicles...and the Jungle Strike Humvee and the Moray Hydrofoil are the only two vehicles I own. There are a few I would love to get but always outbidded on eBay.
The rest I own I bought at Big Lots cheap or were on clearance at Target when they clogged the shelves. But personally, I'm GI Joe fanboy and although I missed the majority of the releases from the 90's and early 2000's, I have no problems with VvV or GI Joe vs. Cobra. Nor do I have a problem with these modern GI Joe lines or Resolute which I'll probably buy as well.
