I just received my order today from HTS with all of the SDCC exclusives that I ordered. I have placed orders with HTS in the past and have been overall pleased. This time around I'm a bit unpleased with my shipment.
I received an email that was sent at around 7AM this morning from Hasbro stating that my order had been shipped. I chose standard shipping, but there wasn't even a tracking number. I figured it would just arrive later in the week. To my surprise my package arrived today via Fed Ex around 1:30 PM in the afternoon. I live in a huge apartment building so they have to ring our buzzers in the lobby when delivering a package. I work overnights from 10PM-6AM so I was sleeping when they arrived and I didn't hear the buzzer. Then at around 5PM the buzzer rings again. I swear the guy said UPS, so I went to check on him through our security camera. We have been having a lot of solicitors lately who ring every apartment to try and gain access to drop off flyers and other junk. A few weeks ago a guy woke me up and said he was UPS. I was too tired to check the camera, but I was due to receive a package. I let the guy in but he was one of those guys with the flyers, so I ended up having an altercation with him and the guy he was working with. It almost ended up with a visit from the police. It pisses me off that they lie like that especially when we have so many elderly people living in my building who are susceptible to home invasions and such. Well anyways back to the story. Since I was a bit suspicious about this UPS or Fed Ex guy ringing my bell today I didn't let him in. The guy on camera did have packages but he was just wearing a white t-shirt. I know the UPS guys wear brown and the Fed Ex guys wear purple I think. Well at around 7PM a neighbor of mine rings my doorbell and tells me there is a big package down in the lobby with my name on it. I go down there and find it sitting on the floor waiting for anyone to come along and take. Thanks a lot Fed Ex! If no one answers the bell they are supposed to leave a note and take the package back to deliver another time. Ok that's all for the Fed Ex fiasco, now on to HTS... On July 28th the first day that the SDCC exclusives became available online at HTS I was logged on as soon as they popped up. I placed 1 blue suited and 1 black suited Cobra Commander in my shopping cart. Now I sat and waited until the rest of what I wanted became available. When they did I added 1 Combat Heroes Snake Eyes/Timber, 1 Star Wars Disturbance in the Force, and 1 of each of the G.I. Joe & Star Wars protective cases. I didn't realize when I went to checkout that my blue CC was gone and another black was added. I noticed this when I received my confirmation email. I was hoping that I would stil get my blue one in the package but I only received 2 black ones. I knew about this ahead of time so it wasn't a big surprise to me, but I'm still upset. Hopefully I can trade a black for a blue to a member who doesn't care about something being "worth" something more than the $9.99 we paid. Ok now for the packaging. My entire order came in a big box with those inflated bubble baggies. The 2 black CC's were fine but their protective cases were a bit scratched up and the top of 1 was a bit bent. The Combat Heroes Snake Eyes/Timber had a bit of a crease in the card due to it being bent. The Star Wars Disturbance in the Force was a bit pushed in and creased on one side of the box. I'm wondering if this happened during shipping with these loose items rattling around the box, or maybe they were just abused in the warehouse. In any case I'm happy that I got my order and I'm happy that I at least got something because I know so many other unfortunate members missed out. I guess if I didn't have to pay for shipping I probably would have been happier with the whole situation. The shipping prices these days are killer. The "free shipping" coupon just happened to expire the day before the SDCC exclusives were available on the site. If that wasn't "fixed" then I don't know what is...LOL I know I rambled on and on here, but feel free to share your experiences so far.

I would rate my experience 9 out of 10. Thanks to all the lurkers who clogged the HTS website Monday morning.
Other than that the service was excellent. I choose reg service and received my figs in 2 days. Everything was as it should been. And they were better packaged than last years ones.

HTS tends to be a hit and miss. I've recieved damaged product from them due to poor packing(inflatable bubble bags make horrible packing material). But I returned it and got my money back. So I feel your pain, but I also have recieved more items in good shape then bad.

Mine arrived safely with no problems - no scratches or bends, etc.
As for loosing the blue CC before checking out, it's my understanding that it's typical for websites to be like this. Just because it's in your checkout doesn't mean you've laid claim to it. That doesn't happen until you place the order.

I do a lot of my joe shopping with them(mostly due to gas prices) and most of my stuff comes fine. If not, I usually buy the same item undamaged at a store and then return the messed up one(somewhat shady, I know). My biggest complaints were the Doc figures I got. They were thrashed.

well i ordered 4 black cc's and like so many of you i had 2 blue ones in my cart that i lost,but luckily a fellow tanker and me worked out a deal and he is sending me a blue one. but anyway i finally recieved a package this morning but there was only 1 black cc in it.
when i looked at my order information apperantly they are sending me 4 seperate packages which meens i had to pay for shipping 4 times which i think is retarded. but my black cc was in great condtion. i had baught another black cc off ebay before hts put them up for sale and i got that today too which was in great shape to but i had to pay 3 times the amount for it,lol it was my back up plan incase i didnt get any off hts. but hopefully i will get my other 3 cc's in the mail by the end of the week. besides the seperate shipping i am happy with it. |

I've got an order of a Black CC, Nem Prime, Titanium Skywarp, and Combat Heroes SE with Timber. The tracking number is the same for all of them so I know it's one box with all of them rattling around. Any other time I've ordered multiple stuff like this they ship in a couple boxes or something like that. Can't wait to see how the condition turns out.

I got my blue CC that I ordered. Box was great with two pieces of inflated plastic bubbles. Inside the CC clamshell was 9/10. Invoice said black CC, but it was the correct one I ordered.

I have ordered from HTS countless times. I have never been happy with there packaging, I have gotten packages that just look like it was tossed into the box with little to no care.
This time however I had a excellent transaction. |
