Do you think though that the guys doing this are board members? I have a hard time believing a Tanker would take part in such douchery.
If we want to keep Scalper out ... what about making the sightings a protected forum ... members only with X amount of posts? Just a thought.

Then the scalpers would post a bunch of crap just so they could get their post up and get into the protected forum.

Possible, hopefully not from this board but they have to be collectors of some sort to have the proper figures to make the switch (and extras at that to give up the sacrifice in the first place....wasn't one of the figures pictured Rip It?).....I'm still a new kid on the block on the tank, but just in the short time I've been here I've noticed a influx of members sign up, want to sell stuff or try to set up trades then get out of town. I've met some good people here but even I'm starting to wonder if listing my sightings is such a good thing. I want to help my fellow tankers out but not to the point where somebody is just gonna read my posts on where to find the stuff go get it and sell it on ebay....or worse here.
I'd hate to see it come to that over here. But yeah, how many new members have we seen since SDCC trying to unload CC and other exclusives? bunch of jacktards.

This is such BS man! I finally see it happen at a local WM near me. I walk in this morning to check on any new product and see these! WTF! It makes me so upset that most of us work hard for what we buy, and then this jack ass decides to defraud and take an easy way out I'm sorry gang, but this is just absurd. To top it off, I see the employee in charge of toys and bring it up to his attention, mentioning that I buy this stuff and know for sure that someone pulled a fast one on cusomer service. I even point out the crappy job they did to reseal the package to show him. All he said was that it would be tough to catch whoever did it, which of course I already knew. I just told him I wanted to let him know, in case he cared. What he said next was kinda disturbing. He told me to just leave them on the pegs, that maybe some kid would buy them. Hmm, knowingly defrauding a customer are we? Wow, just wow... I don't know gang, I know it's a lost cause, but I had to vent. Thanks.

Agreed, this is not a specialized branch of Ebay.
As for the topic itself, I've yet to see repacks up here (mainly because so little product arrives in the first place), but the fact that someone would do something like this is just disgusting. |
