I have one. As referenced in another thread (Nacho, buy that VAMP, you can totally sell it), I myself, am guilty of a repack...
"what, YOU re-packed?!?! For shame!" Now, dear HIsstankers, I believe I had "just cause" in this "transaction", though I in no way condone re-packing in a retail environment. Now, I will keep this seller anonymous, as I'm not in the mood to get into a debate on their ethics, so we'll call them "Lamppost" (completely random code name). Now, it all started when I ordered a COmplete Box Set of Steel Angel Kurumi DVDs from Lamppost.com, and the box arrived. There were HOLES in the case and the DVDs couldn't work (NONE OF THEM), so I sent it back. Well, here I get a notice that I'm not "entitled" to a full refund OR replacement due to the "nature of my purchase." I'm angry, of course, but eh, I understand that sometimes there's red tape and all, and after a while, I let it go. SO a year or so down the road, I pre-order a wave of MiniMates for my Artist figure customs (shown here on the tank under "My Life's Work, LOL"). Well, 3 months after they've been released, I see bupkus, so I call. "We have no record of that purchase, sir." And they still didn't, even after giving them the confrimation number on my order as well as telling them my credit card had been used. A few weeks later I get a call from Customer Service reps, and I'm told that due to a "mistake in my order form, I will not recieve my purchase, nor, due to the delay in my response, I would nt be elligable for a refund." So, I had ordered a comic pack from them, and when I got it, I switched out the figures and sent it back immediately, same day. They ended up calling me and asked on my voicemail what was wrong with the figures. As soon as my card was creditted, I called back and told them "They weren't elligable for their toys." Yes, bad SE-JN... But it felt kinda good, lol. |

I should buy it, just for the story alone. But if I had bought it, then taken pictures, someone would have probably accused me of repacking it myself!
That's a nice story, BTW. I don't condone repacking because the victim is usually not the store or manufacturer, but rather a fellow collector or some kid. However, it sounds like this merchant had real issues! Honestly, I'm surprised you ordered from them more than once. If I got burned like that, it would be the last time I did business with them. What made you go back? |

Probably the fact that they had what I wanted for 10 cheaper there. They are a pretty well-known online retailer, and I'm surprised more people haven't complained.

Okay, heres a creepy one that I've wanted to tell so here it is....
Its 1985, Im 12years old at the time, (dont laugh, Im 36 and still collect:P) I went to KMart with about 15.00$ and I said out loud "Id sell my SOUL for the three Dreadnoks" I get to the Joe Isle Guess What? Three figures only on the pegs Torch,Ripper, and Buzzer. Creepy, I gave my life to Christ in 1997, Amen
