Here's my take on the new Flagg.
Maybe, with the slimmer design for the cartoon, they will be able to make a NEW toy Flagg that won't be as big as it's predecessor. The old box was huge due to that huge midsection of the flightdeck. Maybe they thought about this ahead of time for their design team. Something to think about. Oh, and it would be awesome if when assembling it, you can choose to put the fork front on it, or if you have the vintage piece, you can put that on instead. Hey Hasbro, you can hire me now, or just pay me royalties. |

Not to disagree with your logic, but consider this: The Flagg will be a fraction of the size of a Nimitz class carrier. The whole complement of the ship will be smaller than a single air group on a modern carrier. Plus, in the future next to all the aircraft supported by the Flagg would be STOVL or VTOL and likely not even require the cats to propel them from the deck. Just a couple thoughts...

I think you are misunderstanding my point. This is a GI Joe aircraft carrier, not the next US Navy aircraft carrier. But thanks for the bulletin on that.

Maybe the carrier design works well with whatever new design they have for the Joe planes. Maybe there are only a few planes, and mostly vtol craft like the Sky Hawks.
Besides as other people have said, G.I.Joe is not based on reality. Look at the pics of Stalker, dude has Dreads. Looks cool, but I don't think that's kosher with the military. If you go by the old series, they were shooting lasers, and NO ONE ever go hurt. Are parachutes mandatory for every cobra soldier? |
