Since Conquest, and the Rattler are getting released soon at Target, so I am wondering are they having any plan on SkyStriker? One time that I heard, they lost or broke the mold. They are capable to create a better and slicker SkyStriker with technology today. I am dying to get one. I don't mind to pay $50 - $80 for each. Is anyone else on the same boat as I am? Tell me what is your price range. The reason I set this price is also including R&D cost, since I am really like them to remake the mold.

If they made a new one I would be willing to pay $35. With the other 2 planes at $25 I wouldnt want to spend a whole lot more on it. If they made the tomahawk I would pay $40 for it.

Well I just bought an original skystriker on Ebay for about $40, fully intact and functional with minimal wear. I would pay up to $50 for a new version. I would rather have it than a conquest, but that's just me.

While I am willing to buy a new conquest, I would much prefer a Skystriker. I would probably buy four or five.

Hasbro already said no to Skystriker as the mold is destroyed.

Would it kill them to try out a new mold on an old classic? Not that this is news when it took Hasbro years to make new molds of the old Kenner Star Wars ships.

I understood that the mold is destroyed. However, they can always recreate the new one. The reason that I would pay extra money is to cover the cost of new mold (R&D). Otherwise, I would only pay less than $50.00 each. I wish that they would create one as detail as F/A 18 from BBI.

Even so, when there are literally tens of thousands of examples (including MISB versions) how hard is it really to make new molds from the old toys? I can't imagine it is impossible. |

Most vehicles they are making now are either reuses or upgraded which are not as much. They already scrapped the mauler for 2 molds breaking (one was a wheel and the other was for something else small.) Do you really think they will go ahead with a SkyStriker that needs a whole new mold? Doubt it, especially the way they prefer to repaint stuff instead. the good news is, they also stated they are prepared to make either the Flagg, Terror Drome or Defiant if any retailer picks it up. |
