Well I agree completely, I am sick of the same CC'c, Destros, Dukes, and SE's. I was also disappointed that they never released the original Baroness, I hate Baroness that they released. And why is Dusty and Quick Kick released as a DVD release? I love wave 9 because it had all new figures except one and wave 10 only has 2 good ones the rest of I never heard of. I love these figures but they need to get some different ones out and stop releasing so may in packs, like Falcon and the Drednoks.

Just about all action figure ranges have their 'stars' that get churned out ad nauseum, so GI Joe won't be doing anything different any time soon . I accepted this fact a long time ago and it's helped me enjoy the line far more. "Que sera sera", as they say.

The thing I don't get is how toy companies come up with these AMAZING lines, like Marvel Legends, Transformer Alternators/Binaltech, and GI Joe 25th... They start out so strong and amazing, but by the end, we're getting random figures or (like stated before) they start making up figures.
I have yet to get an official Ratchet, Ironhide, or Bumblebee in Alternators or Binaltech... Yet they gave us "Decepticharge" and "Rollbar" instead of a more core character. I just want a frickin' Jim Lee-era Jubilee and a Jean Grey that ISN'T in Phoenix costume. How hard is that? Same with the Joe line. They started out amazing, and while granted, we wouldn't have this awesome line without Hasbro, it's like their decision-makers lose sight towards the end and fumble. Although I think the new Cobra troopers are kinda cool, and I like that they are doing army-builder sets. But why can't we get 5 Red Ninjas instead of 4 and a freaking Snake Eyes? Or 3 Crimson Guardsmen instead of a red Cobra Commander? WTF? I know those guys are popular, but come on, they don't REALLY sell anything in a set. It's getting to the point now that I avoid the sets with CC and Duke anymore. I'm keeping everything MISB or MOSC so far, and I was collecting all original first releases of figures, but I've passed on a few, and I'm starting to pass on more and more. While I'm usually a completist, I just can't do it anymore with the stupid repaints. If you're going to repaint, make it worth our while... Give us something extra. I actually bought that damn CC with the crystal, simply because it was worth it to me. Same with jetpack-Duke. And while I do like the bazooka trooper (I think it makes sense to have variants of them in different roles) I hope they don't sway too far and give us our classics before creating anymore new guys. |

Imagine all the different figures we would have if all the repaints were replaced with new figures.
