So im just curious how rare this figure really is?
I looked on ebay and the auctions are up to about $60 right now and the BIN's are from $120-$250. is it worth it? I ask because i just scored one from a fellow tanker for $45. Was that a killer find? It seems like it to me considering i used to see people pay that much for a white timber. Funny story about black timbers. I had two of these in my hand at KB toys back in the day but i decided to buy Star Wars figs instead. haha what a doof |

it is rare in the sense that is was very hard to find and that its not being made anymore. 45$ is a very good deal. i want one! but i think the most i would pay is around 60$ if that. just not worth it to me. im still scepticul if the 25th line will even be worth anything down the road. would hate to pay the prices people are paying for the yellow stalker and gold desrto sdcc to find out in a few years no one wants these and they arent worth shit. but its all what its worth to you!

I was thinking the same thing, but i just dont see any on the shelves. or anywhere for the matter, and i see a lot of people still trying to find waves as far back as 6. I think they will hold a descent value but it wont show for another 25 years. Then as soon as one sells for bank the scalpers and hoarders will release their huge pile of 25th figures and drive the price down haha. Then again, i remember seeing the old Star wars figures in bargain bins and buy 1 get 2 free bins, as well as the ARAH joes and now they are selling for bank. As for the yellow stalker and PDD that shits retarded. |

i was lucky enough to get all the variants and exclusives for retail. If I had to pay these prices I would go with out.

If I had to gauge the variants in terms of what will be the best bet to retain its value, I'd put a true figure variant like the Yellow Stalker far ahead of an accessory variant like this Snake Eyes. I'll be frank: when I see the prices that some of these "variants" are fetching, all I think of is the guys who paid $50+ back in '96 for long saber Star Wars figures. Those are worth what, $3 each today? A variant that is a new figure is one thing. But, accessory variants or paint application improvements aren't things that, historically, hold their values when interest in a line diminishes.
