it seems to me that when the 25th line started, there was less glue used to adhere the torsos together...but lately it seems like either Hasbro is using 2 gallons of glue per fig or they are now using some form of NASA glue that would be equally good at holding the thrusters to their rockets...i mean c'mon, every newer fig i try to pry apart results with arms that are useable but a torso that is an udder disaster...
any other customisers having this issue? |

I agree Eddie...it seems like some of the more recent figures are really held together tight and it has been a little more challenging to open them. Use CAUTION guys...I do not want to read about a fellow Tanker cutting their thumb off or some other nightmare scenario.

At the other end of the spectrum, if Hasbro didn't glue the figures enough and they started to fall apart in kiddies' hands after just a few hours play, they'd be in a bit of trouble!

I jammed an x-acto knife in my thumb real good trying to pry open one of these f***ers! Ease off the glue hasbro, or re-instate the back screw!

I would have no problems with the reinstatement of the back screws.

okay heres a solution i found and so far has worked great for me. Take a piece of cloth and wrap it around the upper part of the figure. Next take the figure wrapped in cloth and place it in a manual turning vice. Turn vice until the chest pops apart. Dont turn to far or hard just enough so the chest pops apart. I have done this and so far not a single chect has broken in half, cept at the seam where it was glued. Just make sure you apply the right amount of force or you will have a stress mark on the chest. :>

and id be so happy for the screw to be back to think perfect customs with no breakage at all it would be heaven we need to speak out to see if the screw could be used to keep the chest togther maybe if enuff people wanted it they would consider it

maybe, but if they use the screw they can justify the price increases that keeps hitting..........just a thought
