most of the Joe stuff on Amazon is not really sold by Amazon. Marketplace sellers are using Amazon's site like an ebay store. They pay a percentage to Amazon and keep a "store" of their own online. Most marketplace shippers do not offer any kind of free shipping. I like ordering from Amazon itself, but rarely from marketplace sellers unless its some reasonably priced used cd or something. By 9am here all I found was marketplace sellers and stupidly marked up prices. Nuts.

Yeah, my original post was about Amazon themselves, 14.99 and free shipping if you bought enough stuff.

If the price is okay, why not? You're still covered by Amazon's returns policy and their customer service (etc). It's also pretty clear when you're ordering from amazon.com directly and when you're ordering from a marketplace dealer.

I'm all for sharing secrets with the "in crowd" but like a lot of hot internet deals there's always someone who orders a bunch of the item and forces it to go OOS too quickly... Either that or Hasbro only sent Amazon two cases of vehicles...

Well for me it's a matter of weeding through things. I order lots of stuff from Amazon - dvd's, cd's and some electronics. When was the last time I could find a Front Line Assembly CD in a retail store? years and years... and the free ship after $25 is nice. Amazon Japan even keeps me connected to music from back there which is fantastic. It's some bad marketplace people over charging for things that spoil Amazon for some people.
very true. I've ordered some used stuff from folks for good prices. So I don't want to say that all marketplace sellers are bad. But of course some are insane. I mean, Buzzer for almost $12?!??!!?! come on now...

I've used Amazon many, many times...not for Joes, but music, DVDs, and a couple other misc things like an A's calendar and a video game controller that was on sale. I've never had a single problem with Amazon. The problems people always seem to have are with the sellers that aren't directly Amazon (marketplace) as someone else said. Stay away from those and you'll be golden IMHO.

I too have used Amazon many times and agree that if you stick with them you will be fine. The free shipping and great deals you get sometimes make it more than worth it with gas where it is.
Just wish I would have stayed up late to catch those 14.99 vehicles. |

I ordered the VAMP & Hiss, last night, but then I just came from WM and found both. So, I just cancelled my order, so a VAMP & Hiss should be available.
