I used to collect back in the 80s so I know the extra "fun" that applying stickers can give. However, I do notice quality control problems in some cases (ie. stickers not staying on very narrow spots like roll bars, etc)
I also noticed that the Star Wars line moved away from stickers to painted on, to provide more realism and consistency. What do you prefer Hasbro to do for its vehicle line moving forward? Since I collect the Star Wars stuff and see the difference, I prefer painted on. |

I would prefer to apply them myself. Some of them look like half ass job by whoever put them in.

Yep; it's annoying when the stickers start rolling at the edges. Picks up the lint and dust, pet hair etc. Then some stickers I've seen on vehicles have telltale fingerprints, which never looks good.

I prefer putting the stickers on myself, though in some cases I think painted on can be better in place of stickers. Especially when the sticker is meant to go into a narrow, hard to reach spot.
Stickers also give you some control on how the vehicle will look as you can place them wherever you want, instructions be damned.

What knob voted for stickers?!?
Lets get them on straight from the factory! I don't mind assembling things myself, but the apps should be sharp, and working for a living hasn't left me with very steady hands.

I either want to put all the stickers on myself, or to just have them all painted on. This 1/2 applied stuff sucks.

Hard to say, but I think I ultimately have to go with stickers. I enjoy them more than the painted on decals on the Star Wars vehicles. However, I will say that a mixture of both is the best.

I prefer tampoed paint than stickers.
Although the application of stickers is fun, the new Joe vehicles stickers seem cheaper than ever. I would probably not even apply them if some of them were not already pre-applied. Plus I think the painted on application would give these relics a bit if freshness to help distinguish them even more from the original releases... |
