I like to Decal vehicles myself but certain instances need tampoed paint, like the Cobra emblem on the Cobra Flight Pod. I liked the looks of the Tampoed apps on the Firebat shown at Joecon, very crisp and clean.
I would like to see one of the after market repro guys offer some high definition dry-rub or waterslide decals for the older items. |

Just to give better examples here....
Changes made to the Transformers Masterpiece Starscream The Decepticon isignia on his wings (Sticker) http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6091/mp03005xk1.jpg vs. tampo'd http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4456/img0466cu8.jpg And with Star Wars X-wing (stickers) http://www.vegatransports.com.au/200...ng_detail1.jpg tampo'd http://www.rebelscum.com/TSC/tscXwingboxdisplay.jpg The increase in price points were minimal (if any at all) with a higher return rate on quality. Hasbro, if you are reading this, please look at the poll results!!! |

Painted on for me too. I was never the greatest at putting the stickers on, and I always hated when the stickers came off.

I prefer putting the stickers on myself, though in some cases I think painted on can be better in place of stickers. Especially when the sticker is meant to go into a narrow, hard to reach spot.
Stickers also give you some control on how the vehicle will look as you can place them wherever you want, instructions be damned. |

I like putting the stickers on myself. I wish Hasbro would just not put any at all! I really hate how half of them are applied. However, I do agree that painted on ones look nicer, but for me, one of the fun parts of the vehicles was being able to assemble them and apply the stickers.

Stickers all the way. Printed decals just don't look as good to me, and you can't beat applying loose stickers to a new toy (even if some of the smaller ones do have trouble sticking to the greasier plastics)

I prefer the painted on stickers ....my hands and fingers are too big now and they look half assed when i apply them.
