I was thinking about some of the obscure characters last night and I though about Steel Brigade. He always has a place on my Joe team (with the other obscure figures Claymore, Rumbler, Starduster).
I would love to see Hasbro release him as the next mail-away figure. He would be very easy and cheap for them to make, all they need is a new head sculpt. They wouldn't even need to go through the trouble of making a full card back or anything. Just print out a "file card" and put the figure in a bag. Forgot to mention, this is one figure I would NOT want a removable helmet for. Last edited by Falcone; 07-10-2008 at 04:15 PM.. Reason: forgot something |

Ditto and i would want a remove able helm for him for a a very simple reasons. its easier to put diff heads on the various bodies than to keep popping the helm head off and on. :>

Being of an English persuasion I was never privvy to the original Steel Brigade offer. I don't own one now either, due largely to me thinking he's such an ugly bugger.
But, the "25th" treament could work wonders on the design (I did like the recent "SB vs Plague" pack) and as long as he had a removable helmet, suitably generic head and DIY filecard, I think he'd be the perfect mailaway.

A mail away is what made it special to begin with, so I am sticking with old skool.

For me it would depend highly on the updated figure. If it's awesome with cool weapons, sure, either by mail or in the stores. If it rots, no chance...
