Question to anyone who has pre-ordered a case of anything, in hopes for a VARIANT figure in it, from BBTS? If so was the VARIANT in there. In this case I just pre-ordered Wave 5 CP from BBTS, in hopes of the new BLACK Headed DESTRO that I MUST have, do you think that they will take out all the Black Head DESTROS and replace them with the Gold ones? Have they done this to anyone, or is there anyone out there that can say "NO they will not remove any VARIANT figures."?

i dont think they would...
because thats just pretty shady I am sure if you are lucky enough to get a 'case' of something... then they will give you the case that is coming to you VARIANT included.. if they were to do that I think in the long run it would hurt them more. because as long as they have been in business it would have caught up to them by now ;) |

I ordered the Transformers PVC figures from them before they came out back around 2001. When they arrived, I had received a box with the variant sparkly metallic Optimus Prime in it. The boxes were marked so that they knew which ones had variants in them.

BBTS used to sell the Marvel Legends variants separately.
If they send you a sealed case, my guess would be they don't open it so your chances are as good as any. But if you order the wave and it does not come in a sealed case, I seriously doubt BBTS or anybody else for that matter would not keep the variant to mark up and replace it with the regular version even if "your" case technically had the variant. If you ordered the full case which is what, 2 IG/Destros, 3 Tripwire/CC's, and 3 Falcon/NE's, and what you ordered is a "sealed case" then you have a shot. But if you just ordered one each of the three comic sets there is NO CHANCE IN HELL they would send you a variant out of the kindness of their hearts. Or that's what I think anyway. Business doesn't work like that. I wonder if these will be as rare as the black Timbers. |

I dont think they would take the variants out of cases that people order. especially sealed cases. And we would notice if the listing for variants all of a sudden appeared.

They have before, but have specifically mentioned that they would in the product descriptions. I think that the most specific case I can remember in the Bobby Drake/Iceman Variants that came out in the X-Men Classics line.
You know, someone could just ask BBTS. They respond to emails. |
