i had a few issues with loose hip/leg joints through my 25th Anns. but none were nearly as bad as Gung Ho. this figure is driving me insane...got home last night to find he had fallen off of his base...again. (not that those bases are really worth a crap with the raised logo and horrible placement of the peg, especially the joe stands) i originally managed a running pose for gung ho, his joints tighter when pushed back or forward, but the weight of the figure, coupled with the ill-designed stand/peg, only allowed him to run for about 4 days. now i have to settle for a less action-oriented pose...and i could only achieve that by sticking toothpics in the joints (just below his ass) and breaking them off. my buddy has had problems too, but it seems that the problem visits different characters within different box sets.
anyone else frustrated with loose joints for 25th? YO JOE! anyway and always! |

Gung Ho looks great! He is freaking hard to pose due to his leg wobbliness. Every other 25th of mine holds their pose great. The guy at General's Joes mentioned this problem in his review. Does anyone know of a simple fix?

another, more involved solution would be... get some felt that has a sticky back. cut off a very small patch...raise the leg as high as it will go as if he were kicking a football. apply the felt to the back of the leg, where, when you lower his leg, the felt will act as a buffer betwixt his leg and ass. may take a few layers felt upon each other to get it thick enough to hold. |

Love the figure, but the one I have has legs looser than a can-can dancer on crack.

FORGOT TO MENTION....
the toothpic method is good for when youve found a pose that you will likely keep him in for a time...thats for us displayers. the felt method is good if you intend to change the pose often...thats for you players. |

i too have had this problem primarily with gung-ho....tho i have purchased a few cobra officers with similar hip/leg issues. i purchased two gi joe boxed sets hoping to get a better gung-ho, but alas both had craptacular legs and hips.

i actually had two box sets in my possession when i was opening them last weekend. (one from TRU $30 and one from target found a day later $25...easy math) i checked the other gung ho and neither was better than the other.
