HI guys, my wife got herself and i tickets to this years comic con in San Diego. I have never been, and only going since I started collecting Joes this last year.... The thing is I have never been, and have no idea what to do, and what plan I should make. The main reason I am going is to get the Joe Exculzives, and Joe Clam Shells, but how does the Hasbro Both work? Any ideas sugegstions from the Vets of the Con, is very well needed and appreiciated if you can spare it.

Haven't went to the Hasbro booth before, since the last con I went to was before the 25th figures were announced (and hence before I got back into Joes)... but one thing i'll warn you about - be prepared for a sweaty smell like no other! lol

Oh ya I know that smell big fat sweaty men... with Body odor/hair galore... sweat pants in sizes you can't imagine................breath that can yellow the bubble of even the most pristine MOC vintage Figure. be advised those 'camo' patterns you see on thier clothing.. IS NOT CAMOFLAUGE. They are bits of left over fast food condiment packets, from the various entrees they downed while camping out in the previous weeks of the comic con entry line "so they could be the first to get the exclusive' pretty much your going to see alot of this guy... oh ya and alot of hot women |

The way the Hasbro booth worked last year you had to go upstairs (meaning away from the booth) to wait in line to get a ticket and by "blind" system pull a ticket to be able to get in line for the booth. Only blue tickets were allowed to get in line. Then you went downstairs to the booth to check the white board to see when your ticket number was allowed to line up. The earlier you hit the booth the better off you are as the later and later the con goes the less of an exclusive you're allowed to buy.

We tankers should try and get together for a drink/food during the con. Does anyone know about any good places to go in or around the con? I could finally start placing a face with the names.

Hum I've gone for years. Leaved in San Digeo for years. The booth always change how they do it one year they took your name tag and stamped it, another they hole punched it. They have limited it to purchase two. I don't know but look forward to it. Depending on what you are into you will do a lot of walking. don't forget there are a nmber of things to do up stairs and movies, interviews. It wil be mid-day before you have gotten thru the whole Con across the street is San Diego's Gaslamp area great food hit that up and then go back.
First day is the best day for exclusives. The Last day is best day for deals. I have gone to vendors and purchased display items they just get lazy and don't feel like packing them up. So last day stay till the very very end when they are kicking people out best deals. Any other questions??????? |

If they do that ticket system again, I will skip the hasbro booth altogether. Thats why I missed out last year. By the time I got a ticket I couldnt go in until the next day, and they sold out of the destros on the first day which was the only reason I went. I was sooo dissapointed. Then the first day after they sold out the lines weren't long and they let people in without the tickets. I've complained to them 3 times so far about this. They said it was a fire hazard, so they decided to do the ticket system. This years exclusives don't sound too impressive so I don't care if I get them or not. I'm just going to go to have fun, and see the shows and new stuff coming out.
