so me and a friend of mine were talking today about infantry viper and he braught up the point of why would viper have goggles when he has his silver visor on his helmet. it doesnt really make sense. i guess its something for hasbro to add for detail but if he has a visor why have goggles? its not like his helmet comes off.
has anyone else wondered this? |

So the 25th one can have crappy removable ones and we can all be reminded that they can never really get it right anymore.

When Cobra first introduced the Viper uniform, the face shield on the helmet was made from an inferior plastic despite its claim to be impact resistant. This ultimately turned out to be just another flaw in Cobra's cost cutting efforts. As a result, a number of Vipers found themselves in the middle of a firefight with busted masks. As a counter measure, many troops opted to wear goggles which could be quickly pulled down to offer some eye protection. Over time, the goggles would become standard issue and more of a tradition than practical use.
This of course, is completely made up, but it works for me. |
