Far stretch, I know but hear me out. Hasbro doesn't like to make a new mold for a figure - let alone an accessory - without reusing it a million times, right? OK, here's something I noticed. On the wave 9 Hawk, the holster on his chest looks just like Tunnelrat's, and is removable. On the pics of Falcon (which have seemed to vanish into thin air... mods?), he had what looked to be a removable bandana around his neck. Now, like I said, Hasbro loves to reuse molds so...
does anyone else think that there's a posability that Hasbro will make Tunnelrat, using these parts? I mean, it wouldn't be hard. Here's what I think they would use: head = entirely new sculpt torso and waist = Shipwreck arms = TF Flint (rolled sleaves, watch and gloves) legs = Shipwreck's lower legs but something different for the upper legs. Maybe use a Cobra Officer's left leg (upper) for the knife? chest holster = wave 9 Hawk bandana (around neck) = comic pack Falcon rifle = any generic sniper rifle ammo/ explosives pack = Indiana Jones' pack or wave 8 Snake Eye's pack would work well. I'd think that a special backpack with flashlights that actually lit up (not neccessarily removable) would be awesome too. Hasbro once made the sound effects backpacks, so I don't think it would be a long shot. I don't know if they'd be able to keep it at the same price point though... Any thoughts? |

Just realized I could use the Legions pack black Cobra Commander for his legs. It wouldn't take alot to attach a knife sheath to where that little "pack" is on his left leg. Does anyone know what that is anyway?
I could swap out CC's feet for Shipwrecks and with the pants being black, I'd have very minimal painting. Unless I decide to swap out the lower legs with Shipwreck... haven't decided on what to do yet. Guess I found a use for that CC afterall! Last edited by TEMPLAR BAGGINS; 05-19-2008 at 01:49 AM.. now your thinking like a customizer. just dont start using star wars heads. they NEVER look right. not without some serious modding.

I'm trying, I'm trying!! Lastnight I tried to do a frankenstein of CC's upper thighs and Shipwrecks lower legs... didn't work. The problem was that Ship's knee joints were too thick, so I tried to shave them down thinner - that didn't work either. In the process, I lost the small black rod that attaches the knee joint to the lower leg (CC's knee). I had to take the whip that came with that Spiderman female figure and pull it through the knee joint then cut it off on both sides. It actually looks nice - I was quite pleased. I have a custom casted Alyosha head (forget which one) that I was gonna use for him, but I'd like one that I didn't neccessarily have to paint entirely. I would take pics of my progress so far but my wife's digital camera totally sucks ass! I'll see what I can do about getting a good camera soon though. |
