"I fly with the grace of an eaglehawk and attack with the ferocity of a crocodile."
Skymate, the other half of a two man team known as the Air Commandos back in 1991. Just like Cloudburst Skymate wasn't in the Marvel ARAH comics (mentioned, but not seen), but was seen in the DiC animated series. Skymate is one of few Joes that weren't U.S. born/citizens. Like Big Ben, Skymate is on assignment with G.I. Joe from his home country of Australia. Skymate consist of: Head: new sculpt Torso: Viper v16 Arms: Recondo v7 Upper legs: Snake Eyes v54 Knees, Lower legs & Feet: Ripcord v6 The Club used good parts that were available to them in making an updated version of Skymate yet very reminiscent to his ARAH look. Skymate's main accessory/vehicle is the same glider used with Cloudburst in a different camo pattern compared to it's ARAH version. Accessories are Bow & Arrow from Spirit Iron Knife v4, web gear & machete from Duke v42, pistol from Snake Eyes v54 and a Boomerang which is a new mold. This is another figure I would recommend for fellow Joe Collectors. It's another ARAH character checked off from ME builds. The head sculpt is nice, yet once again ruined by being painted instead of being molded in flesh color. I have been told that he looks like Matthew McConaughey, which I do see the resemblance. Mine suffers from the loose leg syndrome which makes it a pain to display with his glider on. Either way, this is another figure that I am happy with (as soon as I fix the legs).

Would have been slightly better had there been a place to put the boomerang. His holster has the spot for a silencer, but didn't come with one. The 50th Firefly holster would have been better.

I agree about the holster. The pistol doesn't fit and causes stretch marks from forcing the gun in.

Dang, I thought I was the only one to have issues with the gun fitting in the holster properly.

Nice figure, like you said another character struck off the list of ARAH.

Yeah, I wish it were like the vintage one that included a spot to actually store the boomerang.
I wish they were able to incorporate a removable visor like the vintage had too, but overall, I like the figure.

Looking at this head, I guess FSS 5.0 is going to be a POC style Cutter.
Nice review. I have no nostalgia for this figure, but that head would be nice to make a Cutter custom. Too bad he's too expensive to use as a custom.

I was so set to pass on pretty much everything from joecon this year, but the glider set has pulled me in. They are both so goofy and charming that they hit sweet spot of being fun toys over high end collectibles. I agree this would be a good Cutter, the FSS5 13th figure maybe? Is it too soon to speculate on FSS6?

The body isn't bad, although the paint on the middle of the arms is rough, but that head just kills it for me. So he is a redneck Australian trucker?
