Snake Eyes has been a fan favorite for years and during the ARAH days (1982-1994), we saw 6 incarnations of this iconic character. The modern line easily surpassed this total and intern gave us some highly requested figures. Many thought that nothing new could be done to improve this character…….until the live action movie hit the big screens.
ROC gave the fans something special; Snake Eyes. It is debatable to many if the movie lived up to the Joe name but no one can argue that Snake Eyes was nothing but a pure win for the fandom. Sure some griped about the mask and visor but everyone new that he was the man of mystery. The distinctive tattoo, sword, attitude and martial arts skill sold us the character. I for one loved seeing my hero on the big screen and I cannot wait to see his next adventure with the Joes. ROC has already given us two Snake Eyes figures and the modern era gave us our first Arctic figure, so how does the 3rd SE figure in the movie line compare? By far it is the best! The figure has excellent articulation and comes with non-spring-loaded accessories. This time around we are treated to a true Arctic paint scheme and I must warn the guys and gals up North. If you take this figure out in the snow this coming winter, pray that he lands face up or it will be lost till spring. The selling point to me was his harness; this accessory rocks and is easily removable. The hooks can be moved up and down with ease and there are knots in the ends to prevent the hooks from going all the way to the hilt. You can also remove his coat for more poseability. The coat does limit some movement but overall it is not bad. Hasbro did skimp out with his weapons as we only get his sword, ice pick and a basic hand gun. It would have been cool to get his Uzi as well. Thankfully, most collectors have extra machine guns to add to this figures arsenal. Overall this is a solid figure and I do believe he is a new sculpt. My rating is a solid 9 out of 10. Last edited by vadersquest; 04-11-2011 at 07:23 PM.. |

Sorry...cant agree with your review.
I found this fig too. Articulation is BAD. Just TRY to get him to two hand a weapon beside the sword. It takes many swipes with the razor knife to get any thing decent. Sure the camo is cool lookin, but my backpack dosent work, and its glued together so hardcore I cant take it apart to fix it. All in all its great to NOT see a spring weapon and get a backpack like this, but a backpack dosent save the figure overall. I have been VERY selective of ROC figs. I wish I would have passed on this one...Impulse buy because im a SE fan, and he looked cool in the package. out of the package hes not that impressive This is a five...no more..mabye less.

When I first saw pics this figure was going to be a pass, then I saw it in the stores and picked it up. Total win.
Awesome figure. Love the grappling accessory. That thing is awesome. Even putting the knots in the ends was a stroke of genius. Great figure, great accessories.

This is a great figure. His sword also has a place to store in the backpack, which is a nice touch.

Is the plastic white, or is it some weird color and painted white?
Finally, an arctic figure that's white. If only I could use denatured alcohol to remove the gray without removing white paint (hoping it's all-white base plastic), it would be perfect. I'm looking to add a few vintage arctic Joes to my ranks, and I've been waiting on a figure like this to be a good base. Snow Job and the Snow Serpents are too off-white for my taste, but this looks promising. |

look again, it has grey in the movie just really hard to see. Its so light you cant tell unless you're looking for it.
