love this version (color scheme) my biggest hangup is the stand the ME version stands nice and tight but this one sucks i will use the suggestion from the previous post. as for the launcher yes it sucks to but i pretty much throw all of them to my 3 year old. she stands up all of the Chester's that come with the bass pro shop vehicles and tries to shoot them so the launchers are not going to the plastic bin in the sky. Great review

I think he's pretty cool, I one right now, in my area I've found a few more and play to buy at least one more.
I wish Hasbro would stop with the rocket lanchers. |

I love this guy. The first 25th version was great, but the colors felt a tad off. Perhaps paired with the Mamba?... I think that was the original "homage" they were going for, if i remember correctly. The new ROC colors feel way more in-line with the vintage Cobra air force as well, with the red/gray/black scheme. The same as with the first release, the gear is some of the best out there for a troop builder. I have two, and am looking for a third. The first one I found at a Walgreen's for $11, and was worth the price, as he was one of the few ROC figures I was waiting to buy and leave 100% factory (whereas most of my other film-releated purchases were soley for custom fodder).
That backpack/missile launcher thing is completely worthless. I can't even figure out how it was even intended to be used. |

thnx for the review and pics. when I first saw this figure I didn't rush to get him cuz the stores had tons but it seems like after xmas he is now gone and now I want him really bad! I never knew he was a repaint either! so now I want both! once again...this goes to show how much just a simple repaint can give a figure a whole new life. there is something about this figure that is nostalgic yet completely new too...if that makes sense. I'm silly. can't wait to get him!

Looking at the pics of the missle launcher, I'm under the impression he's supposed to dangle from it while it's in flight, from which he would drop down from it. The hole to attach it to his pack is not meant as a "hook up" as much as it's for storage as he's hauling it around with him while he's "hiking" to a very tall mountain for which to jump from, as that thing ain't gonna generate enough lift to take him very far off the ground.
Not very realistic, but a decent effort to give kids a method to get their Para-Viper into the air if they don't own a pricey Gunship, CH or Night Raven. |

Late to the party here-just opened this figures and it is uber cool. Question though cause I saw a picture somewhere of him on the missle launcher using it like a glider. How does do you set him up to do that?
Dont like the fact that his foot pegs are too small unless he has his flippers on. |

I gave it a 4. It looks really cool but all that gear makes it more of a statue than an action figure. It doesn't fit in any of the vehicles, I've tried! Even taking all the gear off doesn't help much. I just don't care for this figure that much. It looks nice but it's no fun at all.
