Hey folks, not sure if we're supposed to review unreleased figures yet; I got mine from an overseas friend. Mods if we're not supposed to review unreleased figs please feel free to move or remove my post. I'm just really excited about this figure .
Bear with me folks, this is my first review and my camera is not the greatest. On to the fun. First off, SECS (SEKS!) is packaged nicely in RoC packaging, as is known. Unlike most, I actually don't mind the new packaging much. Pretty easy to open if you go through the motions correctly. Box art is fantastic. Standard RoC file card, i.e. not very exciting. PACKAGING SCORE: 7/10 Opening the package, you will be treated to an incredible array of equipment. Snake Eyes comes with the following gear (anything in quotes is as named on the box): - 1 H&K G36 Assault Rifle (same as Paris Pursuit) - 1 Unknown Assault Carbine (same as TRU Rescue Mission) - 1 Unknown Handgun - 1 Unknown Combat Knife - 1 "Hand-Forged Steel Heirloom Katana Sword" - 1 pair of spiky ice shoes - 1 small backpack (aka Man Purse) - 1 "xn-2 Ascension Pack designed for 'silent night' ninja commando operations." - 1 Grey web-gear + belt combo - 1 really badass figure Sword comes with a scabbard that attaches to his web gear. The gear is well-made, IMO better than the grey weapons most of the RoC figures come with. I would have preferred a repaint of the Resolute Duke assault rifle, since that's what SE uses in Reso, but it's easy enough to get another one of those and paint it black+grey. *Really* would have preferred the Resolute straight wakizashi to the "heirloom katana", but it's easy enough to get one of those from 3rd party providers. The sheer amount of well-made gear really brings the score up. GEAR SCORE: 9/10 The figure itself is a repaint of the by now well-known TRU Rescue Mission Snake Eyes (or is the latter a repaint of this?), with a brand new headsculpt that is, for lack of a better word, incredible. The detail is amazing, the top of the head is not the usual flat-head commando sculpt that we're used to. This one is just awesome. I'm a big fan of the two-tone Reso colors, so I think that SE looks better in grey+black, it really brings out the figure's details. I posted a pic of SECS next to the TRU Rescue Mission SE (all black), and I really prefer the two-tone. Just looks better, but as always that's just a matter of opinion. Articulation on the figure is the usual, no big surprises there. He has a *bit* of trouble at the elbows and trying to hold a gun with two hands. No major complaints though, really. It's a bit on the short side. Not quite as short as Rescue Mission SE by virtue of a taller head sculpt, but he's about half a head shorter than 25th comic pack Beach Head. Posted a pic to demonstrate. ("What's up shorty?" - sorry, couldn't resist, Beach Head is my fav :P) FIGURE SCORE: 9.5/10 Before I give my overall score, let me say that it's going to be tainted by the fact that I've been wanting this figure ever since I saw the Reso cartoon concept art. No matter what "technical" score I gave it above, I just can't help but be completely amazed at the overall effect this figure has. So, without further ado: OVERALL SCORE: 10/10! Only thing that could beat it in my book is a Reso (or "City Strike", if you will) Zartan/Beach Head/Storm Shadow that was executed as well as this figure I have a bunch more pics, including the box and file card and the "xn-2 Ascension Pack" in action, but wasn't sure if it would be overkill. If people want more, I can post more pics. Hope you enjoyed! Last edited by ctrvl; 08-07-2009 at 03:35 AM.. Reason: fixed for grammerzlolz |

Damn. The one I just bought last week on Ebay can't get here soon enough. What an amazing figure.
What's funny is I have a gut feeling it will be here from the Philippines before my Destros get here from HTS.

Hehe I have a coolpix 7600, completely agree on the glare so I turned off the flash and tried to get some focus lighting on a white foam background but just couldn't get it bright enough. Maybe just need better lamps.
