The Crimson Neo-Viper is the same Neo-Viper mold, just with red armor now. The red is a nice glossy metallic red. There is a Cobra symbol on the shoulder armor now instead of on the sleeve. There are a bunch of new weapons here. The assault rifle is detailed well, but be careful of the barrel, it’s very thin and mine is already stressed after two days. The same pistol that came with the first Storm Shadow is here again along with the Machete Helix came with. The Spear and Hatchets are new and a little strange for a figure like this, but the strangest accessory of all is the clear case with Coral Snake. The case has two long slots and a hole at the end of it, plus the top can come off. Crimson Neo-Viper comes with removable Vest, Rifle, Pistol, Machete, Spear, 2 Hatchets, Coral Snake, clear Case with removable Lid, Missile Launcher with Missile and Cobra Stand.
The red detracts from an already good figure, but I’ve never been much of a fan for making a “Crimson” version of regular troops anyway. That said, the color is nice, I just like the first color scheme better. The accessories are what really make this figure, you get a lot of melee weapons we haven’t seen much of before plus you get a nicely detailed rifle and a Coral Snake that could be used in any diorama for any 3 ¾” figure line. The missile launcher is the same one that came with the Neo-Viper. Figure Rating: 6 out of 10 Last edited by Shogi; 08-31-2011 at 06:17 PM.. |

Nice review, but I just have no love for the Turtle Vipers.
The glossy metallic gives a nice effect though. |

I'm loving the Crimson Viper and the Nano Viper...2 unique turtle vipers that are different from the limp wristed silver face ones.

strangely, the red Neo-Viper has been the only version I've been tempted to buy. I haven't, but I'm tempted.

I gave this one a 10. Yes a 10. The only Turtle Viper I have multpes of. They are perfect for a custom I am working on between existing CG bodys and thier awsome detaling and deep crimson red finish. The turtle head like NSA said...toss it...I also figured a way to make them useful with this head...new Elite Cobra la gaurds for Serpentor. I added a deep bright shinney metallic green to the black/greay parts so the red and green look christmasy but they look awesome as royal guards and match up to seprentors green cloak and accents perfectly.
This is my favorite of the Turtle Vipers (2nd favorite is the horror show ones with the SNAKE armors)...still trying to figure out why he has to have firemans hatchets/poleaxe and that coral snake in a box which is the best pack in accessory to date! Must be like the three sea shells from Demolition Man...

Nice review. I like the red color but I am only using these guys as special troops so no major army building with them for me.
