Storm Shadow looks like his previous movie incarnation only this time he has a shorter jacket and no mask on. The face sculpt looks good but the head movement is limited due to the jacket’s collar. With the shorter jacket, there is no skirt to restrict the leg’s movement and the right leg now has a pistol holster like the belt had on the masked version. Like the belt holster, this one only covers half the gun, but since it’s a harder plastic, it holds the gun tighter. The pistol is the same one the masked Storm Shadow came with, just with a different paint app. This time the sword sheathes are removable and act more like a backpack. The Swords don’t have the Arashikage symbols this time, but otherwise they’re the same. Storm Shadow now has two Sais which are very nice looking and fit in both hands beautifully. There is one very odd accessory this time, a suction cup with what looks like motorcycle handlebars on it. The suction cup holds the weight of the figure quite well. Storm Shadow comes with a Pistol, Long Sword, Short Sword, Sword Sheath Backpack, two Sais, Suction Cup, Missile Launcher with Missile and a GI Joe Stand.
While the legs are free to move around now, his elbows don’t bent as far as the previous Storm Shadow. Neither can make a 90 degree angle. Other than that, this is an excellent Storm Shadow with some awesome accessories. The missile launcher is the same one that came with the Baroness figure but with a different missile. Thanks for the review, Shogi! I picked up this figure about a week ago myself, just because I wanted an unmasked Storm Shadow, and I ended up liking it more than the "regular" version.

PP SE, and the two available SS's are the balls, man! Even if you are not a fan of the movie, or do not want to get movie figs for that reason, you need to get these three. Weapons, articulation, posability are fan. -Tastic. Fantastic.

I like the Sais the most on this figure. I'd buy it just for those, they rock. I like the masked SS better though.

Good review....I gave him a 9 as well. I just wish they would have gave us an interchangeable masked head as well...that would have been "quality"

Great looking figure. I like the different pain apps. I'm still a little put off by seeing Storm Shadow unmasked, but it is a great face sculpt.
Nice review Shogi. |
