I absolutely loved this figure until I realized that his helmet is the exact same helmet that I found on Broken Arrow Toys website. It is a website for customizers and I found this helmet in a clear cast about two months ago. I have been debating to purchase the helmet but have not recieved my Wet-suit yet. Now back to ROC Flash...I hate this figure!

also, Hasbro said this figure was designed to be Flash, not Resolute Firefly. One-18TH.com – Because Size Matters Blog Archive G.I. Joe Q & A – July Quote:
Q1. Flash: Personal favorite, so I’m glad to see he’s getting a redo with a completely new look. But, it does have an odd look for a ‘JOE’ figure, he looks more Cobra. Maybe it’s the mask, who knows. BUT, he does bear a striking resemblance to Resolute Firefly. Was Flash originally supposed to be someone else, but changed later on?
No, Flash is all new and designed only to be Flash. Even in 1982 Flash was unique with the red break-up costime and the team took this into consideration with the new Flash and make sure he had a new unique look in the ROC fantasy. Moving forward you will see more of this, classic characters in movie universe and new characters consistent with the fantasy (like Para-Vipers). Overall, I gave him an eight. The choice of weapons could have been better...or at least how they were made. The handles are too thick and it's hard for a two-handed grip as others have stated. The figure itself is solid and though it may not look like classic Flash, it's a great figure IMHO. Last edited by Fast_Draw; 06-29-2015 at 08:52 AM.. |

Here is my Firefly using the above referenced idea I had tried...Pit Commando's body armor looks more to the pic of concept resolute firefly then the flash gear...

I don't care what others have been saying about him, I love the figure. He looks absolutely awesome and I love his weapons. I display him at work next to similar scaled Transformer toys.

Man you nailed it, great job too. I still say flash looks more like parts for the resolute alley viper. Just give it a mars trooper helmet, paint it blue and red goggles. There you go alley viper.

I like it. Even if you don't dig him as FLASH, use him as someone else.
Even a squad of 4 of him would make good generic laser troopers led by the 25th anni FLASH. |

Solid 8 for me. I dont really care what his face looks like because the mask is awesome and I display him with it on. I agree he could have had a backpack to plug his laser into but I can live with plugging it into his back. I love the red/black combo, although it does kinda make him stick out a little from his ROC mates, which isnt neccasarily a bad thing. Overall awesome fig, def. worth the purchase IMHO.

Got around to opening this one over the weekend. Very awesome figure!! Had an extra comic pack Ace head so I popped that on him so he can take off the helmet (which works with that head) and be maskless. I really like both of his weapons, tho the assault rifle will probably be given to another fig since he can't hold it and aim it well.

I just opened this one. I really, really like it. It's ok as Flash because that's certainly a figure who could use a modern update. My only gripe is that the string doesn't stick into his backpack properly.
I wonder if someone would be willing to paint an extra mask for me for Wet suit?
