we have piles of this guy at our store, him, eel, elite viper, helix, but hardly any pit commandos, lol.
I think he looks great, but agree, probably meant to be firefly. |

I hate the colors. Too garish for me. I don't like the design for Flash. I agree this figure would have been a good generic Cobra Trooper such as an updated Laser Viper. But Flash he ain't. I gave it a 1 because the figure is named Flash. The 25th anni version kicks this figures ass. If it had been a Laser Viper then I would have graded it an 8.

Love the figure, its one of my favorites, just his neck is a little restricted by the armor. |

yeah, this totally isn't Resolute Firefly ~ the vest is similar, but it's not THAT similar (Fireflys is one piece and more utilitarian in design) ~ the "girdle" or whatever around his mid-section is more like Helix ~ which makes me think his origins are with the video game designers.

The only improvement I would suggest is using 25th Flash's head under the helmet. I don't like Flash in a mask.

I do not like this guy as Flash one bit, and find it a bit of a stretch with them trying to use his name... I would have preferred if they gave the mold a Cobra designation and a different helmet, but I gave the bastard a 10 anyways.
Seriously, this is my favorite mold from the ROC line so far. In fact, it's the only movie sculpt I haven't bought as custom fodder (besides the more "classic" guys like Nitro Viper, Thunder, etc that are more or less "25th/ME" versions of the characters). I also plan on getting the Para-Viper, which I think is a much better color scheme than the 25th/ME version. Otherwise, I feel like there are some very great sculpts in the line, but I will probably not be buying too many. This guy, to me, fits in very well with the Resolute and 25th figures. Of course, I use mine as a Cobra Viper (unnamed, so far). Flash, he is not going to be, though. The helmet went to Wet-Suit, as it's a near perfect replacement for Wet-Suit's lacking proper helmet (why we didn't get it with WS, I'll never know). If anyone wants to use him as a tough-looking Cobra specialist, just use one of the gasmasks from the Pit Commando. That's what I've done. I wish they'd designated the sculpt as a Cobra, but he works well enough for Flash, although with the "anonymous" head covering, to me I think we'll see this again as a Resolute Viper of sorts. |

I absolutely loved this figure until I realized that his helmet is the exact same helmet that I found on Broken Arrow Toys website. It is a website for customizers and I found this helmet in a clear cast about two months ago. I have been debating to purchase the helmet but have not recieved my Wet-suit yet. Now back to ROC Flash...I hate this figure!

I bought this fig today.
While everyone is giving this fig such high scores blows me away. To look at on the internet, Yea,he is cool lookin. But there are some pretty serious flaws with the fig right off the bat. Neck post is way to low. So much that the helmet does not fit correctly. The Helm will bottom out on the collar, and the eyes appear at the bottom of the clear part. A little longer neck would have made this a hell of a lot better. Once again..ANOTHER figure that cant hold his weapon in a decent pose. These figures are getting good with articulation, but then you have this one, that is a LASER TROOPER, that CANNOT hold his weapon in a two handed pose. Partially because the weapon itself lacks a second stock or grip. A simple remedy would have been to make a post on the side of the laser rifle, or make a spot on the bottom a little more narrow so he could hold it, but alas, the armor restricts his movement so that may have not been possible. THE GUN PLUGS INTO HIS NECK!?!?!? WTF!?!? why no backpack??? a generator was STANDARD with all the other laser troopers, and even Sci-Fi and 25th Flash could hang the laser rifle on the back pack. The pics the reviewer show with the gun stuck in the peg hole is DUMB, and the absence of a generator to plug the gun into shows the complete lack of creativity. This figure looked GREAT on the internet. I saw him in the store with the complete wave, and snagged it. This figure needs to be in your hand before you review it, guys. The 25th flash could Two hand his Laser rifle, and hang it on his generator. This figs Helmet, which was a selling point for me, DOES NOT WORK as well as some pics show, because the neck post is too short. This one gets a 1....A nice attempt to make an updated figure, but has FAIL all over it...who ever is rating this fig over a 7 needs to wake up..
