I gave this figure a 2. The only redeeming aspect of this figure is some useful custom parts (mainly the legs). I HATE the head. I've always hated lip prints on Snake Eyes and this is really over the top. In addition the head sits at a constant downward angle on the neck post. He can't look forward or up, just constantly down. In addition, the arm proportions are off. Not only are his upper arms too thin, but they are too short. Hasbro compensates for this by making his forearms too long. He just looks off. This figure would've been 10 times better if he had a working holster or sword clip. The Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes is much better except for the giraffe neck.

As he came out of the package I'd probably give him a 6. But that's really not the figures fault...
*The visor needed real force to become unglued and I had to sand/ repaint one side of his face. *The legs were pretty shakey and I had to dis-assemble and paint the inner joints of the legs. *As a ninja he had to swap his backpack and uzi for PPSE's sword, sheath and knife. *His constant looking down was a major factor in him inheriting the Arashikage cycle. He looks great now and is almost the definitive Ninja version of snake eyes. I'll happily say that this is a 10/10 toy. |

this SE really is pretty cool...he's got great range of motion and like Shogi said...after awhile you don't really notice the mouth thing anymore.

Yeah, the visor is glued on so some have more glue than others and the bandolier can come off if you take the legs off. Since both parts aren't meant to just come off without force or taking the toy apart is why I didn't show pictures of the figure without those parts. I've only done this once recently with Cobra Commander, but it's not a common occurance with me

I changed out the pants and head for the paris SE. Little hot melt action and the head sits great. I also added good ol beachhead/firefly hands. I love those hands. SE looks much better now

Yes the lips are strange, but the classic version 2 from the 80's had lips too.
What bothers me most are his arms. He just has these giant balls as his shoulders, followed by relatively scrawny arms. It throws the whole sculpt off. That and he's too shiney, especially the webgear- as opposed to Paris pursuit SE. It's a big surprise that Paris Pursuit and this version are not just repaints with a coat added. Which in this one case, is too bad. I really want a Paris Pursuit SE w/o trench coat. |

I like this review. I had brought Snake Eyes a few weeks ago but I didn't open him yet because I wasn't sure if it was really good to display on the PIT. Now I feel good about opening this figure because of the cool equipment and nice storage of the sword on his backpack.
