Not a fan of the reactive armor on everyone, but this is one of the better figures. I got him to part out for customs, as I am doing for 99% of the ROC figures that I buy, but the main figure is pretty nice. Just because us Joe fans aren't all buying the ROC figures to keep as ROC figures, it doesn't mean they can't go to excellent uses and aren't great sculpts to use for the customizers. while I desperately want more 25th figures, these are as good as we'll be getting for awhile, so make the best out of it, I say.
The head will go to a custom Frostbite (body from the ROC Frostbite, and legs from ROC Storm Shadow) but as Shipwreck, he's pretty solid. Does anyone else think that the headsculpt was partially reused or modified from the 5-pack head? The cheek bones, facial features, and even hair (below the hat/knit cap) are very close. Since this head is painted, and the 5-pack Shippy's not, it's hard to tell, but I think it's a modded sculpt. The legs are great for generic troopers with cargo pockets and boots, for all you customizers. A shame it's that weird blue camo, but for Shipwreck, it sort of works for me. Oh, and the accessories are the second reason I got him besides the head sculpt. I'm going to be giving away the rocket launchers and stands from all my ROC figures I buy for customs, but the rest of the accessories are fantastic. |

yes, this figure is by far the best of the line i've seen in stores so far. i picked on up yesterday at the local grocery store. popped the head off the generic body and stripped him of all accessories and put them on an extra comic repaint shippy i had.
the end result is a VERY sick looking ship with very little work (might have to repaint the face to match the body skin tone). but put that head and the accessories on the body of a standard issue dress naval petty officer and it makes for a sick figure. p.s. the "reactive" armor sucks it. and i'll be sanding those parts down for custom sculpting. first time i've done that without ANY hesitation.

I think I may have to get him. I was kinda turned off originaly because I prefer the officer's uniform from the originals and 25th, but I love how Polly can purch on the gun. That's awsome. Great Pics mate.
