I picked up four of these at a Gamestop in the mall. I basically picked them up to use as real models of how the armor looks. Surprisingly, they are pretty close in scale to your standard Joe. Unfortunately, they are only barely five points of articulation. The arms and legs pop on and off with small rounded pegs. The only real articulation comes from the head and both shoulders, and occasionally the hips, but not always. I feel they would cool for either people who aren't that concerned with articulation or as background pieces for a workshop or diorama. They are fairly well detailed.

It's a great idea but the execution is terrible.

These are part of the Glyos system, which is a collection of independently owned toy lines that produce stuff in small numbers using a standardized connection peg and are meant to be used for part swaps etc. The Skeleton Warriors reboot that came out a few years ago used the same system.
These particular Fallout figures are around 4" tall but they don't really scale well with Joes since these power armors are supposed to be like 7-8 feet tall, and these figures are about the height of a Joe. So not true 1:18 scale. |

I bought the set of these a few weeks ago. I don't think they're terrible by any measure, but I don't really agree with the quasi-budget approach, either; I think the target audience would be willing to pay a few dollars more for better articulation/detail. I don't personally find the Glyos system adds much appeal, but your mileage may vary, and it doesn't exactly hurt to have it either way. It is nice to be able to get something for $10 or less nowadays, as improbable as that sentence might have sounded just a few years ago.

Two new figures at Gamestop:
Also, think we should merge this thread with this one? http://www.hisstank.com/forum/toys/4...t-figures.html
